Thermostats & Switches

Thermostats, Temperature Switches and Power Controls are convenient solutions for quick regulation of electric Heating Tapes and Jackets. The LCZ (Triac) and Variable Transformer (Variac) can control an electric heater by adjusting the input power. These Controllers have no sensor feedback, but simply regulate as you’d use an adjustable “dimmer” on a light bulb. Just rotate the dial to get minimum to maximum output. Other Thermostat and switch items have bulbs, sensors or bi-metallic switches that open and close the circuit to achieve a desired temperature. Limited varieties of these products are offered in the store, but we at HTS/Amptek® have acquired many products and techniques using this type of technology.
