NOT DESIGNED FOR USE ON CONDUCTIVE SURFACES

HTS/Amptek® Standard Mono-Tapes™ are heating tapes with without a protective fiberglass overbraid, and may only be used on non-conductive surfaces such as glass or ceramic. Fiberglass, medium watt density Mono-Tapes™ are for use to 900°F (482°C). AMOX™, high watt density MonoTapes™ may operate to exposure temperatures of 1400°F (760°C). Standard Mono-Tapes™ are available in ½ inch and 1 inch widths and lengths from 2 feet to 16 feet. The serpentine element provides flexibility and durability. Power leads are on each end. The knitted construction, allows for flexibility and even distribution of heat. This model is offered in two heats and watt densities. Medium watt 8.67, or High 13 watts per square inch, for the most aggressive heat response. Do not overlap this element.

Custom Configurations Available

Mono-Tape™ Element
The heating element is multi-strand resistance wire, braided with AMOX™ (AWO model) or fiberglass (AIO model) yarn and knitted into the serpentine shape to minimize thermal shock and tensile stress from expansion and contraction. The single wire configuration requires the lead wires to be located on each end of the Standard Insulated Mono-Tape™.

Standard means No Overbraid Cover
The Standard Insulated Tapes are constructed from a single, multi-strand element that is insulated with two braided layers of AMOX™ or fiberglass yarn. Without sufficient dielectric strength, these tapes should not be used on conductive surfaces. DO NOT USE ON METAL. Fiberglass tapes (AIO models) provide capability up to 900°F (482°C) and AMOX™ tapes (AWO models) to 1400°F (760°C).

Split Molded Plug Option (120V)
Standard Mono-Tapes™ do not include a power plug. 120V tapes may be ordered with the optional molded plug (-MP). No power plug option is available for 240V tapes. Commercially available connectors may be installed for the customer or sourced locally. Mono-Tapes™ do not utilize a grounding circuit and provide a two wire connection. For Earth Ground Leakage protection a circuit protector (30ma GFCI) is recommended.
