Sometimes, portablility is necessary for both the Heating Jackets and Controller. The control panel can be standalone, or fitted with extension cables for power and temperature control. Recently we had a customer request, because of the portable use of our heating jackets that he intended to make, that we mount their temperature control panel on a cart for ease of movement. The picture shows the final design result. It gave our customer the temperature control panel mobility he was looking for and illustrates the flexibility that our application problem solvers can provide when required.

Our customers are constantly presenting us with new application challenges. An example of this is a customer who had a railroad load out facility with piping that required thermal protection. The problem was that the piping that was to go from the load out facility to the tank car was articulating and the heating jacket system had to accommodate this. Using our heating cable jackets and a series of pen and sleeve power jumpers our application specialists were able to provide a system to accommodate this customer’s unusual requirement. CAD drawings were produced to illustrate to our customer what we intended to supply. The picture is of the finished heating jackets in our jacket shop being QC’d for shipment to our customer. This is just another example of the problem solving ability that HTS/Amptek offers to its customers every day.
