Heating jackets use a heating element to safely regulate the temperature of fluids or gases. Usually, this is achieved by a multi-stranded tape heating element or a self-regulating cable element.
Typical heating and insulator jackets are available in cylindrical or flat shapes. These work for heating round pipes and flat expanses.
Another type of heating jacket is an insulator jacket. This jacket does not use a heating element to regulate temperature but, instead uses insulation to maintain the temperature.
