The Heating Element is Multi- Strand Resistance wire, Braided with AMOX™ Yarn and Knitted into the Serpentine shape for immunity to Thermal Shock and Tensile Stress from expansion and contraction. The single, Multi-Strand element construction means that the lead wires will be located on each end of the Heavy Insulated Mono-Tape™.
The Heavy Insulated Tapes have a flexible, braided sleeving over the element, to provide additional dielectric strength for wrapping onto conductive surfaces. (directly on metal) ½ Heavy Tapes will wrap around small 1/4" (6mm) tubing. Heat Capability to 900°F (482°C), or AMOX™ to 1400°F (760°C)
Mono-Tapes™ do not have a plug. If desired, they may ordered with the optional split molded plug on 120v only. Since there is no grounding circuit, the plugs are 2 prong. For Earth Ground Leakage protection, a Circuit Protector (30ma GFCI) is recommended.
Note: No molded plug option for 240v Tapes. Commercially available connectors may be installed.
