BULK HEATING ELEMENT FOR COMPONENT OR 0.E.M. USE

HTS/Amptek® is a manufacturer of unique, knitted resistance heating elements that are suitable for use in lamination and encapsulation, build up assemblies for sampling gas, or other OEM applications. Sizing of the element can be provided with assistance from HTS/Amptek® application engineering. HTS/Amptek® Self-regulating Tracing Cable is typically an “off the shelf” product. The heating element is multi-strand resistance wire, braided with AMOX™ yarn and knitted into the serpentine shape to minimize thermal shock and tensile stress from expansion and contraction. Bulk element is not offered on line. Contact HTS/Amptek® for technical and sales support. Minimum order, 100ft (30m).

AC8 TRACING CABLE

Proven Self-Regulating Heater Technology The Conductive Core Matrix changes resistance to allow the heater to generate more heat when cold, and less heat when hot. The rating of 8 watts/foot is the output of the cable at 50°F. This feature, is ideal for freeze protection while the ambient is cold, and yet not overheat the object when the ambient climbs higher temperatures.

Minimum install temperature: -30°F (-34°C) Maximum use temperature: 150°F (65°C)
